This notice explains, in plain language, how Wish Tree processes personal data, in line with Turkey's Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK, Art. 10) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data Controller

2. Public Board Notice
Wish Tree is a shared, public board. The wish text and name/nickname you submit are visible to every visitor and displayed as a blossom on the tree. Please do not include private or sensitive personal information (national ID numbers, phone numbers, addresses, etc.) in your wish text.
3. Data We Process
- Wish text and name/nickname: Stored in our database (Turso) and displayed publicly on the site.
- IP address (temporary): Processed briefly for spam/bot prevention during hCaptcha verification; not stored linked to your wish.
- Language preference: Kept only in your browser's
localStorage, never sent to our servers.
4. Third-Party Infrastructure Providers
- Turso (libSQL): Database infrastructure storing wish data.
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.): Protects the form from automated bot abuse; your IP is shared with hCaptcha during verification.
- NVIDIA NIM: Submitted wish text is scanned in real time for harmful/inappropriate content; not retained for AI training.
- Cloudflare Pages & Web Analytics: Used to serve the site and, only if you consent, for cookie-free performance measurement that stores no personal data or IP address. See section 5.
5. Web Analytics & Cookies
Wish Tree does not use tracking cookies. The consent prompt shown on your first visit applies only to Cloudflare Web Analytics — a tool that uses no cookies and stores no IP address or personal data, producing only aggregated, anonymous traffic/performance statistics. Your consent choice is kept in your browser's localStorage; you can reset it anytime by clearing your browser data.
6. Your Rights
Under KVKK Art. 11, you have the right to request information about, correction of, or deletion of your processed data. Contact us at the address above.
